Walking Workshops

Join visual merchandising experts Lisa Uhrik and Paula Taylor for interactive and practical walking workshops through the Dynamic Museum Store on the expo floor.  Workshops meet on the hour and half hour and are limited to small groups of no more than 12 people to ensure robust discussion and hands-on learning.  From fixtures and displays to pattern languages and storytelling, everyone – no matter how seasoned – will walk away with new concepts that can be applied to your stores. Specific topics will be posted in the area – attend a few of these for different bits of content as you see the displays through different learning lenses.

  • Visual Merchandising 101 topics will explore the basics of fixture function and display practices. Take away a few practical ideas for immediate improvement or for teaching and engaging others in your store.
  • Visual Merchandising 201 topics will provide discovery through key principles and practices. Take away specifics for implementation in your store.
  • Visual Merchandising 301 topics will explore the more advanced perspectives and practices in pattern languages, story-telling through merchandise and related concepts. Take away conceptual ideas for consideration and application in your store.
