Nominate Your Product for the 2020 Buyer’s Choice Awards!

Do you have unique, innovative products for museums and cultural institutions?  We know we are going to see them at your booth during MSA FORWARD 2020 Retail Conference and Expo in Cleveland, but we want to recognize your creativity with an award too!  Submit a product in one of six categories for your chance to selected as a finalist for the Buyer’s Choice Award.  During the Expo, buyer attendees will tour the floor, view the finalists’ products at the Buyer’s Choice display, and vote for their favorites in each category.

If selected as a finalist, your company will be listed along with your booth number in the Spring issue of Museum Store magazine, in the on-site Program Book & Expo Guide, and on www.museumstoreassociation.org.  Finalist products will be featured in the Buyer’s Choice Display at the front of the Expo.  The winners will receive additional exposure in the Summer issue of Museum Store magazine, as well as placement on the MSA website and in the post-MSA FORWARD 2020 e-newsletter.

Submission Process and Requirements:

To submit your product, please fill out the Nomination Form below (incomplete submissions will not be considered) and submit it by midnight EST on January 15, 2020.  Please remember the following guidelines:

  • Only companies exhibiting at MSA FORWARD 2020 are eligible to participate
  • Companies may only submit one (1) product for nomination
  • Each submission should have a 25-word product description and a photo of the product
  • Product must be in production and intended for sale in a museum store
  • Please select one (1) product category that best represents your product
  • Incomplete submissions will not be considered
  • If selected as a finalist, companies must bring the nominated product to Cleveland, OH to include on the Buyer’s Choice Awards display table at the front of the Expo.

Nominations

The slate will include the first 15 nominations received in each of the 6 product categories.

Finalists for each of the 6 categories will be chosen by the Education Advisory Group (EAG) based on these attributes: originality, relevance to the industry, value, and quality.   18 products (the top 3 in each of the 6 categories) will be selected as finalists.  Exhibitor finalists will be notified on February 1, 2020.

The deadline for nominations is midnight EST, January 15, 2020.

Final Voting and Awards Process

MSA FORWARD 2020 buyer attendees will receive a ballot in their Cleveland, OH registration materials. The ballot will be organized by product category. Voting will be held during Expo hours on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26; buyer attendees will have until 11:00am to submit their ballots. Attendees will be encouraged to tour the show floor, view the Buyer’s Choice products on display, and select their favorites on the ballot.  The winner for each product category will be announced during lunch at the Expo on Sunday, April 26 and will be invited to accept their award at the Buyer Vendor Hub.
