You can help Grow MSA by making sure your colleagues understand
why you referred them, and why you feel MSA membership is a real benefit
to you … and them.
Tips for encouraging MUSEUM STORES to join:
- Talk about your experiences with MSA.
- E-mail them a link to MuseumStoreAssociation.org so they can see the resources
offered online.
- Share an article from a recent issue of Museum Store
magazine that you think will help them.
- Tell them about the MSA Retail Conference & Expo.
- Let them know the Sam Greenberg Scholarship program helps first-time
attendees with financial constraints attend the Conference &
Expo.
- Tell them about ShopTalk — MSA's e-mail discussion forum
with more than 500 participants.
- Invite them to an upcoming chapter meeting.
Tips for encouraging VENDORS to join:
- Call them to talk about your experiences with MSA and answer any
questions they might have.
- Send them an e-mail with a link to MuseumStoreAssociation.org so they
can see the resources offered online.
- Explain that the MSA Retail Conference & Expo is the
industry event for museum retailers, and that 70% of attendees rank
shopping the Expo as the top reason they attend.
- Let them know how useful you find Museum Store and
Product News for finding new merchandise.
- Tell them about discounted advertising opportunities available
only to vendor affiliates of MSA, and the qualified audience of
buyers they will reach through MSA publications
- Remind them about MSA mailing lists and labels.
- Tell them about Museum Store Marketplace – MSA’s online
searchable database of vendors.
