Midwest Chapter Meeting Minutes
Monday, July 21, 2008 — Chicago, IL
President Janice Berling from the Gerald R. Ford Museum called the meeting to order at 9 a.m. at the Chicago History Museum. Janice read MSA's Antitrust Policy. Leslie Hartman and Meta Devine were introduced as MSA board members.

OLD BUSINESS
The minutes from the last chapter meeting in Tampa were read and corrected. Treasurer Heidi Stelmach reviewed the financials of our checking and savings account. She has been looking for another bank to avoid the fees we are incurring.
NEW BUSINESS
Martha Sivertson of the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage in Beachwood, OH, has volunteered to host the 2009 Midwest Chapter Meeting, possibly one of the first two weekends in August. Milwaukee Public Museum also will look into hosting in 2009. Terry Tarnow has suggested Traverse City, MI, as a host city for July or August of 2010.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Leslie Hartman and Meta Devine discussed MSA's Knowledge Standards and Strategic Plan. Many institutions had not seen this document.
Meta suggested that members look into participating in The Cultural Traveler guidebook.
The Sam Greenberg Scholarship was introduced to new members.
