Chapter Secretary Election
Online voting for the MSA 2010 Midwest Chapter election has begun! Go to the Midwest Chapter e-ballot and use your last name and individual MSA member ID# to log in and vote. Votes must be received by Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 12 p.m. ET. Below are the candidates and their bios.
Candidate Bios
Karen McNeely
Milwaukee Art Museum, Director of Retail Operations
Karen joined the Milwaukee Art Museum in August 2008 as the assistant store manager / book buyer. She brought more than 20 years of retail store and buying experience to the job, much of which was with Carson Pirie Scott (a major department store). Her strong retail background served her well, as during Karen’s tenure she was promoted to senior buyer and most recently director of retail operations. Karen attended her first MSA Conference in Phoenix last year and felt that it was a great experience. In addition to the informative sessions and wonderful market offerings, she felt it was a great opportunity to meet her peers.
Gloria Rosenau-Stern
Minnesota Historical Society, Store Manager
Gloria’s life in retail sales / business began at age 15 working in her mother’s craft store. Among other things, she has managed a fabric store and worked customer service and reception. In 1995 she began her career with the Minnesota Historical Society at Split Rock Lighthouse starting as site secretary and working into the store manager position. She became an MSA member in 1998 and attended her first Conference in 2000. Since then she has attended each Conference with the exception of 2003. Her involvement with MSA includes volunteering at Conferences, serving as the Northwest Central Chapter officers from 2003 – 2005 and serving on the Nominating Committee. She is currently serving on the 2010 Program Resource Group.
