Chapter Secretary Election
Online voting for the MSA 2010 Mid-Atlantic Chapter election has begun! Go to the Mid-Atlantic Chapter e-ballot and use your last name and individual MSA member ID# to log in and vote. Votes must be received by Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 12 p.m. ET. Below is the candidate and her bio.

Elizabeth “Betsy” Poole
Fallingwater – Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, Retail Operations Manager / Buyer
Betsy began her retail career as a visual merchandiser working for Charles A Stevens in Chicago while attending school at the Art Institute. She remained in the visual merchandising field for more than 25 years. During that time she worked for Leggett’s in Virginia, AAFES in Germany, Kaufmann’s in Pennsylvania and finally as a visual merchandising regional director for the Boston department stores. One day Betsy noticed a job for a museum store manager at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo, NC, and thus began her career in museum retail. In 2000 she accepted the position of manager / buyer at Fallingwater and has remained there for the last 10 years.

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter Scholarship Fund assists museum store professionals in attending an MSA Retail Conference & Expo or a Mid-Atlantic Chapter Meeting so that they can learn more about their trade and strengthen their skills, thereby enhancing the industry.
