MSA Directory Search Tips
You'll get the best results by searching only one field at a time. If you have more than one search field filled, only items containing both terms will be returned, this limits your chances of finding what you are searching for.
Search by First Name or Last Name: Capitalization does not matter. Punctuation does matter; names in this online directory have the exact same punctuation as appears in MSA's member database. If you enter the full name and use incorrect punctuation, your query will not return any results.
Search by Company/Institution: Search for one word in the name. Capitalization does not matter. Punctuation does matter; names in this online directory have the exact same punctuation as appears in MSA's member database. Search by City: Capitalization does not matter. However, correct spelling does matter.
Search by State/Country/Chapter/Museum Type: Select one of the categories from the drop-down menu to find all members of that type. After you have selected a category, click on Submit.
Search by Member Type: 1) MEMBERS: Employees or volunteers of a nonprofit, permanent institution open to and administered in the public interest for the primary purpose of collecting and preserving, studying, interpreting, performing, assembling and exhibiting objects and specimens of educational and cultural value, including artistic, scientific, historical and technological material. 2) VENDORS: An individual or company engaged in selling wholesale merchandise or providing professional services to museum and other nonprofit organizations, excluding retailers, but including wholesale tradeshow organizers. 3) OTHER: This includes Allied Members (a nonprofit organization that does not qualify for Museum Memberhsip but whose purpose is closely allied to the mission and educational goals of member institutions) and Commercial Affiliates (a retail business operating in a for-proft museum or a licensed retail business operating in a nonprofit museum).
